I was fortunate to get a referral to Aisha a few years back when I decided to stop coloring my hair and return to my natural gray. A true color expert, she made the transition process very smooth and easy. I even got lots of compliments on my transitional color along the way. I continue to rely on her to choose just the right amount of tweaking to ensure my natural color looks as good as possible. I love getting my hair styled at The Color Collective, it's a warm and welcoming salon with lots of great amenities like drinks and snacks, aromatherapy, and even puppy books in the waiting area! Highly recommend Aisha to anyone looking for the best colorist in San Diego.

If you were considering Aisha as your new cut and color specialist - book an appointment now! I was referred to Aisha by a couple of colleagues in my office and the way they always look was more than enough for me to head on over to the salon. Something I truly love about her is she listens to exactly what I want. I have wavy hair and it can be a bit of a pain to work with but she understands my particular style. She also offers a lot of helpful suggestions as far as ongoing care and for cuts/color. To boot - she provides wonderful conversation and overall experience! Have I mentioned she is priced reasonably She’s extremely professional and I am so grateful to have found her!!

could go on and on about Aisha! She has incredible attention to detail, not only with regards to hair but also with remembering little details about my life that I told her during other appointments. It's nice that she cares and listens 🙂 she also makes sure to always determine exactly what I want with my hair before she gets started. I'm a former water polo player so my hair is biiigtime damaged, yet she manages to make it look beautiful and healthy again with each appointment. Her balayage is incredible, and she's really good with answering questions (e.g. "what does toner do") in a way that someone who isn't a hairstylist (aka me) can really easily understand. Aisha knows her stuff, and this salon is a great reflection of that; knowing Aisha, the Color Collective probably has some of the best hairdressers in San Diego. I always look forward to my hair appointments, and I can't wait for my next one at the Color Collective!

Aisha has been doing my hair for years now, and has an amazing way of understanding what I am trying to say when explaining the hairstyle I want. When I explain a problem I have been having i.e. dryness, course hair /frizz, shampoo/conditioner problems.. she is very knowledgeable about the potential reasons as well as provides solutions to problem solve. She is also the only person I trust with coloring my hair. She ALWAYS makes my blonde look so natural to the point that my own family believes it’s real sun kissed blonde. Definitely recommend!
