It’s rare that I give a negative review. But I was just so taken aback (I’m talking super shocked) by the inflexibility of what I experienced that it’s mind boggling and I was compelled to write this.

My son missed an appointment last time. It happens, esp between the literal million things that go on trying to balance a teenagers life. I’m basically an Uber driver for one teenager. In this case we (myself and my son) have been coming here for over a decade. My son since he was in a booster seat. And as long as they’ve had this booking system we’ve never missed an appointment (which has been for 4-5 years now since the pandemic). I even think it was an efficient idea. So I completely understand that you shouldn’t miss your appointments. But life happens.

So my son missed one appointment. ONE, of the literal hundreds of haircuts we’ve had here. We even emailed back and forth and apologized. I wasn’t expecting to be hit with the $25 cancellation fee when he had his haircut the next time. Basically, I was asked to pay for the haircut as well as the cancellation fee, which came out to $55. Obviously, i was surprised and I asked him if there was any type of courtesy that they could give us? He simply said no. So I paid him, I’m not about making a scene and left (I even tipped him for the haircut) as I am a strong believer, of what is owed is what is owed. They were owed that money so I paid it.

Again, my myself and my son have been coming here for over 10 years (my son even longer). Add to the fact that I have a younger son who probably would’ve used this barber shop for years to come as well, it makes no sense why you wouldn’t put customer loyalty over $25. Over one late appointment in the last 10 years they’ve chosen to stick to their policy.

I can respect that but I can now also choose not to come back. That’s at least $35 x 3 ppl and at least 7-8 times a year. $8-$900 a year over a late appointment…. My mind is boggled. Even my credit card gives a one time courtesy late fee… absolutely mind boggling they would throw away a relationship like that. Tragic,… leave such a bad taste in your mouth.

So they raised prices from $20 to $30, don’t take credit cards, stopped taking Zelle, only take cash and now this… and we still kept coming bc we were loyal. This was one too far. MIND BOGGLING.

So yea, haircuts are fine. Don’t miss your appointments or your next one will cost you $55.

Best barber shop ever. My son has been going for a few years now and we are so satisfied with the professionalism, reliability and service provided. I would highly recommend either Roman or Arthur. They are both amazing barbers.

After years of trying to find a barber that will cut my hair exactly how I want it and not leave me practically bald, I am glad to say that this is the best place to get a haircut. I have been booking Arthur already for a few years, and he always makes me look fresh and clean. If you are doubtful, just know that I drive up here from the city to get my haircut from him because every other place I’ve tried has done a horrible job with my hair. I will be coming here for the rest of my life as long as they’re still here.

I get my haircuts here regularly. Reasonably priced, you get what you ask for. The guys are super friendly, and their website makes it so easy to make an appointment for when it’s convenient for you. Who wants to sit in a barbershop for an hour just waiting anymore. The website solves that problem easily

Recently tried to contact store for an appointment.Never got a call back after several attempts.
Have used the store in the past.Prices have gone up and the quality has gone down.
Have found a better store that is professional, courteous, skilled and less expensive.

Don't let the 2nd story access fool you! Their shop is very neat, pristine, well lit, and professional. If it weren't for me living in Alabama, I'd see Roman on a regular (4-8 weeks).
