I recently had the pleasure of visiting Val’s Color and Hair Salon, and I cannot express enough how amazing my experience was. Valentina, the owner, truly saved my hair!

I came in with 20 million different colors in my hair, and she transformed it into the solid, gorgeous brunette color I had requested.

From the start, Valentina was transparent with pricing and clarified exactly what she could do given the damage to my hair. Her honesty and expertise made me feel completely at ease. She took exceptional care of me, even testing the bleach on a small section of my hair before proceeding to ensure it wouldn't cause further damage.

The care and attention didn't stop there. Her daughter Lisa did a wonderful job with the hair wash and head massage, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

The ambiance of the salon is beautiful, clean, and friendly. The staff is welcoming and professional, making you feel right at home. I highly recommend Val’s Color and Hair Salon to anyone looking for top-notch hair care. You won’t be disappointed!

I came to this salon back in 2022 with a bleached blonde catastrophe, in which I didn't want to have my hair down at all. I was honestly scared to go here because I’ve had bad experiences with salons before (being scissor happy, rude, not talking to you at all, etc.). I took a chance and had a consultation with Dana, which then turned into a hair appointment. She was able to transform my hair into a masterpiece that gave me so much confidence! Dana is so kind, and gives great professional advice. I recently had another appointment to cut and balayage my hair, and she did an amazing job as always! She is sooo good at what she does, and actually cares about the work she puts out. It’s so hard to find a hair stylist like her, but I’m happy I found her when I needed her most, she’s a gem. She is also my mom and sister’s hairstylist, and treats them just as special as she treats me. I recommend her to everyone, even though I want to gate keep her, I know everyone will love her like I do. Thank you Dana, you are fabulous!

Walk in style for a last minute decision to get my hair done, everyone was so nice. I unfortunately have very thick heavy hair. The style was pretty, by the time I got home I lost a bunch of pins and ended up re-doing my hair for my party since I didn’t have time to go back. Next time I know what doesn’t work for my hair and find a better style. I appreciate how kind everyone was, seems like a really nice salon.

Stephanie does the BEST blow outs, especially for thick hair - trust me, I've tried almost every salon in Riverdale. Half way through the first time she did my hair, I knew I wasn't going to go anywhere else! Cannot recommend more highly.
