I just want to say that Val, at Val's hair port, is amazing! She literally spent the last 2 weeks learning how to do locks so she could do my hair. You don't find people that care about their clients like that anymore! And she did a fantastic job! If you want food hair and people that care, Val and all the ladies at Val's Hair Port will take excellent care of you!

Marie did my bridal hair and my bridal party’s hair for my wedding and couldn’t have been more fantastic to work with! We all wanted different styles and have different hair textures and she created beautiful looks for each of us. There were 4 of us total and she got us all done in less than 3 hours which was quite a feat! She has a really great calming presence as well. Would definitely recommend her and Val’s for your hair care needs in Goldsboro!

So I went to Val's to get a hair cut. Thought after specifically telling Hannah, that I wanted the top long, and showed her a picture, I was going to get a nice cut.
As soon as she turned the chair, I knew I was screwed! Folks... as soon as a hair butcher turns the chair so you can't see what she is about to do, get out of the chair and run for your life.! Hannah butchered my hair cut off more than 5" after telling her I want it long on the top.
I will never go to this place again. I will be filing a complaint with the board of cosmetology and what ever else I can do to make sure this person never cuts hair again!
The last pix is what I showed her the style I wanted, this uneven butch job is what I got!!! Someone please tell how the last pix is the hair cut i got. The sad thing is... she thinks she did a good job. I could have given myself this butch job. The basic man's cut would have been a better choice. ? ?

Worse experience of my LIFE! I called this salon this morning to ask if they had an opening for a haircut as my hair was matted in the back. I told them I wanted it cut not to attempt to detangle it just a simple short bob with layers (side note I'm not homeless or on drugs I work as a nurse with an extremely demanding job and I always just wash my hair and go my hair is curly and gets tangled easily) so anyways they knew the task before setting up the appointment. I was told it would be a Jr stylist, I asked if she had experience cutting hair and if she could cut layers they said of course. Turns out that was not the case she was fresh out of school. No experience, no idea how to do layers she cut the matt out fine but when attempted to do layers she absolutely destroyed my hair not to mention it took TWO HOURS. I do not blame her of course she needs to start somewhere but she kept asking for help and was not getting the help she needed the owner was more worried about playing with her dog and talking about her sex life than helping her new employee. JUST TRASH at the end one of the SR stylists came over and told her out right she did not do it right at all but did not offer a discount or anything just told her to finish the best she cold and have me pay. I'm not sure if I was treated like this because I was the customer that came in with a matte in my hair and they are judgy AF or if they just have terrible service in general, but I give it a 0/10 would NEVER recommend and I hope that poor girl gets a new job with mentors she can be proud of.

Went in after moving here from out of state. Madison worked MAGIC on my hair. I went from a red head to strawberry blonde. The intent is to get back to my blonde hair with least amount of damage. The salon is clean and everyone is welcoming. They know most if not all of their clients by first name. I was tired so I didn’t talk much today but I enjoyed my makeover ❤️ Thank you Madison and see you soon!

I showed Val a couple of pictures to give her an idea on what I like and explained what was important to me as far as time to spend fixing my hair. She listen, asked questions and boy did she do a great hair cut and perm. I got the volume I needed without having to spend forever for the upkeep. She took off 11 inches of hair and Bam...I feel like a new person. Thank you Val.

Best hair salon that I have ever been to before in all my life!! I hacked at my hair myself, trying to correct the mistakes from the previous stylist, and I butchered my hair. I called this salon because the reviews were fantastic, and they were very kind and understanding of my situation, and they scheduled me for the following day. I wasn't sure they'd be able to fix the mess I'd made of myself, but Maria worked her magic, and she made a masterpiece out of me! Truly, she's an artist, and meeting her was divine intervention! I will be back, and I will be bringing my daughters as well! Thank you, Maria and Val's Hairport!!
